SSTV NET - 20 Mar 2025
Another busy net night that saw the following participants, VK7s – ZGK, FGGT, TW, ZCF, ZAB and KT sending forty five photos. The north south link was not operational so it wasn’t a state wide net but two separate local nets.
As a trial this week, Tony VK7AX tuned his SSTV gateway transceiver to VK7RJG. Northern participants were then able to exchange photos via an International Gateway with PC1K and Bernhard DH1BM in Germany.
The trial was successful so Tony is planning to activate the connection next Thursday at 8:30 pm for 1 hour. He will put up a gateway Identifier when it is available. There is a delay in file transfers, so to minimise “double ups” a change in protocols is required. We will need to wait 30 seconds after the last transmission before sending the next photo to allow the gateway server to transmit any photos it has ready.
If this session is successful it may become a regular addition.
The photos sent can be monitored on the gateway server at the Web link in text version.
